The Lansdowne Escarpment, New South Wales

Reference No: 253.944-10

Limited Edition: 500 only

Isolated pockets of rainforest are protected by the cliff walls of The Great Escarpment. On these steep slopes complex, upland, subtropical rainforest occurs in shaded sights in favoured soils.

Carrabean, corkwoods and bangalow palms tower over an understorey of prickly tree fern.

These Escarpment pockets, saved from the loggers by their rugged inaccessibility, are now protected indefinitely in the recently declared Koorobach National Park.
