Grenville Turner

Grenville Turner is at home on the Strzelecki, the Simpson, the Gibson, Lake Eyre, the Flinders, the Kimberley, Sturt’s Stony Desert … and he has captured them all.

His images of heat, light and distance are a startling testament to the power of the camera to move the head and the heart, even when the feet remain planted. And his recording of the effects of these elements on the people and wildlife that abide in remote places offers a singular insight into the essential Australian experience.

Grenville has worked behind the camera for more than 30 years and is regarded as one of Australia’s foremost photographers. His work has been published throughout the world and he has exhibited in Australia, Europe and the United States.
